Marbella’s famous port, Puerto Banús, owes its name to its promoter D. José Banús. It was inaugurated in 1970, two years after the beginning of the construction and hosts inside its installations 915 berths of 8 to 50 metres length , which have given shelter to some of the most luxurious ships of the world.

The sport and leisure marina of Puerto Banús is situated conveniently close to Marbella (approximately 6 km away in the direction of San Pedro) and hosts some of the most striking yachts in the world.

Puerto Banús was a pioneer in Spain regarding leisure marinas, which contributed significantly to the propagation of international interest for Marbella.

The leisure harbour offers a wide range of exclusive shops and luxury boutiques as well as a big commercial centre nearby with a Corte Inglés Department store.

Furthermore you can find a wide range of national and international cuisine to choose from, ranging from the most authentic local cuisine, featuring tasty fish and seafood, to European, Asian or South American restaurants. After dinner, there’s no shortage of bodegas, night bars and clubs to move on to.
