We always love to be discovering new interesting and fun plans for activities in Malaga! Today we present you a completely new proposal: The Laberintus Park Maze Malaga.

We will be heading 22 km north of Antequera and about 50 minutes from Malaga. The small town of Mollina is located there, surrounded by olive groves, cereal fields and vineyards, from which the famous Mollina wines with designation of origin are produced.

There, in the middle of olive groves, we find the largest hedge labyrinth in Spain and the first biotechnological labyrinth in the world.

The Labyrinth

Labertintus Park Malaga is much more than just a labyrith, its a maze.

It’s much more than just a labyrith, its a maze. The difference between mazes and labyrinths is that labyrinths have a single continuous path which leads to the centre, and as long as you keep going forward, you will get there eventually. Mazes have multiple paths which branch off and will not necessarily lead to the centre.

It is designed to challenge your wits and stimulate your senses and your spirit of adventure. Covering more than 4 hectares, the maze is distinguished by its innovative and challenging design.

There will be surprises and nooks and crannies to explore, where every step tests your problem-solving skills and invites you to enjoy nature in an innovative way.

Different levels of difficulty

The maze offers different levels of difficulty. There are several routes to choose from.

The easiest can be completed in around 30 minutes, while the most difficult challenge can take up to two hours to complete.

There is also a wide range of activities for all ages, from escape games and adventure challenges to educational activities.

The park was designed by Adrian Fisher, one of the most impressive and complex labyrinth creators in the world, having worked on more than 750 projects in different countries.

The Labyrinthus Park stands out for its beautiful geometric shape inspired by classic Islamic designs.

The world’s first biotechnological Maze

One of the most outstanding aspects of Spain’s largest hedge labyrinth is its commitment to sustainability and technological innovation. It has bioreactors capable of generating energy and water from the soil itself.

In addition, this maze applies an innovative concept that combines nature and engineered technology, using natural elements to create interactions between nature and visitor.

Other services in the park

Laberintus Park also has a traditional play area and, last but not least, an amphitheatre with beautiful views, where shows, interactive workshops and outdoor activities take place.

And don’t worry if after all this activity you need to recharge your batteries. There is a café on the grounds where you can relax after exploring the maze and enjoy a varied selection of drinks and snacks.

  • The park is pet friendly and the maze is accessible for people with reduced mobility.

Our advice

In Malaga we have more than 320 days of sunshine a year. Please note that there will be no shade in the labyrinth. Therefore, we advise you to bring sun protection, a hat and a small bottle of water.

Fuente de Piedra Lagoon

The Laguna de Fuente de Piedra Nature Reserve is located just 9 km away from Laberintus Park Maze Malaga. It is a unique enclave, a saltwater lagoon with the largest colony of flamingos in the Iberian Peninsula and the second largest in Europe.

From the end of February onwards, hundreds of flamingos arrive and build their nests on the small islands of the lake. In late April or early May the flamingo chicks appear with their parents and begin to feed.

And if you want to stay a little bit longer in the area to make to most out of your stay, closeby there is a Camping with option to hire a bungalow:
