Marbella has become the top-rated beach destination of Spain in a study by the firm Oak Power Communication among 630 journalists from around the world – mostly from Germany, England, countries in Eastern Europe, Latin America, France and the United States – specialized in tourism or who write regularly on the subject.
The municipality of Marbella has obtained a score of 8 out of 10, a position the Costa del Sol hot-spot occupied already two years ago, but in 2012 gave way to Ibiza.
Now the stylish jet-set venue has regained its leadership by offering a more complete tourist product than the Balearic island, as is doesn´t suffer such a strong seasonality, has a maximum supply of sun, sand and fun which is complemented by a great gastronomic level and luxury shopping.
Furthermore, Marbella is located near unique cultural historical places in the world as Ronda, less than an hour away; or Malaga, with its innovative range of museums, and the cities of Seville and Granada, less than two hours away.
Meanwhile, Andalusia has positioned for the third year running as the most valued Spanish tourism brand, according to this study. This leadership of the ‘brand Andalucía’ is attributed to its huge and unique heritage, which combines history, culture, music, gastronomy, nature, beaches and quality infrastructure.
